With a track record of innovation and development, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. We have a Global Centre of Excellence for Medical Devices based in Witney, Oxfordshire. The site has been instrumental in the research, development and manufacture of the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System as well as exciting developments in the Libre family including FreeStyle Libre 2, FreeStyle Libre 3 and the FreeStyle Libre Sense system. We currently have an opportunity for a Technical Manager – New Product Introduction (NPI) to join our Technical Services team. Technical Services is a multi-disciplinary function that forms part of the Witney Operations Organisation. The key responsibilities of the Technical Services team include; supporting strip and sensor manufacturing, leading on-market product, process and/or material changes and leading the transfer of new products and materials from R&D into Operations. The Technical Manager –NPI role will see you leading the transfer of new products into manufacturing. The Technical Manager – NPI position requires close collaboration with multiple functions including Program Management, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing and Regulatory Affairs. The incumbent will be required to deliver multiple projects on time and on budget, ensuring the coordinated management of all activities.

To be successful, you will be an experienced people manager from the medical/pharmaceutical industry with a proven ability of running multiple complex projects. A degree qualification in a technical discipline is required, as is exposure to a Regulated environment.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work within teams of various sizes and represent them to Senior stakeholders. Your interactions will be far reaching - you will need to have excellent communication and time management skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing and dynamic environment.
