Senior Accountant - Assembly Facility

Location: West Memphis, AR

Job Type: Full-time

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our assembly facility team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with local accounting standards and practices, treasury and auditing, overseeing inter-company international transfers, managing Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable activities, and handling various tax-related matters. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will collaborate with the Supply Chain Department to maintain effective inventory control processes, manage costing for Bill of Materials (BOM), and handle capital expenditures. The role also involves analyzing financial reports, managing the general ledger, and assisting with month-end/year-end close activities. The Senior Accountant will support the US Finance Manager in budgeting and forecasting models, develop ad hoc reports to meet business objectives, and conduct research during internal and external auditor activity. Moreover, the incumbent will ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and laws, while adhering to Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regulatory compliance with local accounting standards and practices.

  • Oversee inter-company international transfers.

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, including collection of past due accounts.

  • Handle various tax-related matters, including income, state, county, and city taxes.

  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Department to ensure effective inventory control processes.

  • Manage costing for Bill of Materials (BOM).

  • Handle capital expenditures.

  • Analyze financial reports.

  • Manage the general ledger and assist with month-end/year-end close activities.

  • Support the US Finance Manager in budgeting and forecasting models.

  • Develop standard ad hoc reports to support business objectives.

  • Conduct research during internal and external auditor activity.

  • Provide accurate and timely accounting assistance across the company.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate policies, regulations, and laws.

  • Adhere to all Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.

  • Perform other related duties, special projects, or assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Minimum of 5 years of previous related experience (portion of the experience being in a manufacturing setting preferred).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate/advanced experience with Excel).

  • Proficiency with SAP Financial module.
