Aerotek Industrial Maintenance Technician ($25-30/hr) in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing automated and semiautomated manufacturing machinery including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Responsible for repairing problems with PLC Controlled equipment and or CNC Equipment.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Performs and/or direct complicated maintenance work such as repairing complex CNC machinery • Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment. • Handles all cables and wires between machines and equipment • Replaces faulty electrical components of equipment • Installs and repairs electrical systems • Troubleshoots electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems on CNC and manual machinery • Maintains and use all controlled documents within the department • Maintains and repair all machinery and hand tools • Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards. • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew. • Analyzes and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems. • Completes pre-shift safety inspections.

Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required Associate degree (two-year college or technical school): Preferred Field of Study: Mechanical/Electrical: Preferred

Experience:

5 plus years of experience in electrical, maintenance and repair: Required Knowledge of industrial and electrical safety procedures: Required Experience with industrial, electrical and mechanical tools: Required Experience with forklift operation: Required

Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suit to include email: Required PLC programming: Preferred Machine Specific Controls (Fanuc, Siemens, etc): Preferred

Certifications & Licenses:

Basic Electrical Certification: Preferred Must maintain a valid Drivers license that meets Busch Insurance standard.

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level
