The Project Support Teamleader will be part of the Siemens Global Centre of Competence for Data Center (https://new.siemens.com/nl/nl/markten/data-centers.html) projects, based in The Hague. We are one of the leading global suppliers of products, systems, solutions, and services for the economical, reliable, and intelligent transmission and distribution of electrical power. As the trusted partner for the development and extension of an efficient and reliable power infrastructure, Smart Infrastructure offers utilities and the industry the portfolio they need. The complexity in our projects is determined by size, speed, location(s) and continuous pressure in realisation. In other words, dynamic projects with great clients. The projects are global, so the main language is English.

Team

Your team consist of 20 professionals from different cultures and backgrounds, a mix of junior, medior and senior employees. There are 4 disciplines in your support team: Logistics, Planning, Project Support and Document Control. Your manager Erik is an experienced Project Manager and who knows how to inspire and develop his team. Your stakeholders are the team, project managers, engineers, customers, subcontractors, and our colleagues of the Siemens factories.

You will make a difference by:

  • Defines and ensures implementation of corporate approved Project Management Coordination (PMO) policies for your team.

  • standardisation of project related governance processes and facilitates the sharing of resources, methodologies, tools and techniques.

  • Driving Continuous Improvement, optimization and digitalize process to increase efficiency.

  • Implements PM and PMO guidelines and processes, and manages the team.

  • Contributes and consolidate projects (plans, budgets, resources, operation status) and complete reportings.

  • Analyse workflow environment and propose improvements in Project Management operations.

  • Insuring effective cooperation with stakeholders; clarify organizational issues.

  • An engaging leader who can empower, encourage, motivate, and develop others. You will have gained at least 5 years of managerial experience, where you played a key role in the development and performance of your team.

  • An effective communicator using multiple channels to engage conversation and positive change.

  • Bachelor or Master in a technical degree level (preferably electrical engineering).

  • a minimum of three years’ work experience as a technical support in a comparable industry (electrical, infrastructure, building).

  • Planning and managing budgets, deriving financial goals and initiating a business plan to achieve these.

  • Speaking and writing fluently English is a must for this position.
