Lockheed Martin Industrial Engineer Early Career - Troy, AL in Troy, Alabama

Description: Lockheed Martin Pike County Operations in Troy, Alabama is seeking an Industrial Engineer responsible for:

Conducting classical Industrial Engineering activities such as time and motion studies, facility and workstation design, and process improvement activities

Performing work measurements and time standards, productivity and performance management, capacity resource analysis, simulation modeling, cost analysis and estimating.

Supporting one or more Performance Management Team (PMT) through metric analysis and process improvement identification/implementation

Driving continuous improvement and capturing cost savings.

This position requires a candidate that (1) is customer-focused, (2) has excellent oral and written communication skills, (3) has demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, (4) is able to work effectively with a team and all levels of management, (5) is a self-starter with demonstrated self-initiated goals and results.

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small-town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.

Seeking a recent graduate with immediate availability.

Basic Qualifications:

Degree at the Bachelor level or above in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Management, or a similar discipline

Understanding of Industrial Engineering tools /techniques

Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.

**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment

Desired Skills:

Experience applying Industrial Engineering technical skills such as facility layouts, data analysis, and process improvements

Simulation experience

Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
