Quality Assurance Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

We are actively seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist with experience in assisting elderly and disabled members to obtain Medicaid benefits. Responsibilities include quality control reviews to ensure compliance and product quality. The QA Specialist ensures that BeneLynk’s Medicaid and SNAP applications are compliant with BeneLynk’s policies as well as State and Federal regulations, as well as monitors calls to ensure staff are adhering to company expectations. The incumbent is responsible for increasing efficiencies, reducing errors, streamlining processes and procedures, and controlling the element of risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of excellence, working cooperatively with all staff to enhance services and improve operations. Provide solutions as new requirements become necessary. Identify trends and patterns, best practices, and make recommendations for improvements in service delivery.

  • Review outgoing applications for compliance with company policies and procedures, and continually update job knowledge to provide solutions. Put controls in place to mitigate errors and other non-compliance issues.

  • Ensure proper phone etiquette and adherence to scripts and procedures, accurate and descriptive Lynk 360 documentation and proper disposition of cases.

  • Establish a clear mechanism of communication that provides ongoing feedback to the QA/GR Supervisor and Team Lead, Training department, Program Directors/Managers and VP of Government Relations regarding program conformance to BeneLynk standards and expectations.

  • Monitor data to identify trends that negatively impact members and company revenue to analyze opportunities and implemental internal process improvements,

  • Utilize technology to enhance work efforts, prepare reports and professional presentations that represent data obtained through a variety of venues.

  • Assist in the development and timely review of operational policies and assure that policies are revised and approved as needed.

  • Maintain current knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements to adhere strict compliance of all aspects of BeneLynk’s Outreach Operations.

  • Participate as required in BeneLynk’s staff and operational development programs. Be a team player and communicate openly and honestly.

  • Demonstrate behaviors, actions, and attitude that reflect BeneLynk’s vision, mission and values.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education – associate degree or equivalent experience in health care administration, business, finance or a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience and education which demonstrates the ability to perform the functions of the position.

  • Experience – One year of experience with demonstrated success in member advocacy. Demonstrated behavior of paying attention to detail, understanding of Medicaid eligibility and ability to effectively prioritize work.

  • Language Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with elderly and disabled individuals. Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
