Robert Half Accounts Payable Manager in Stamford, Connecticut

Description

We are on the lookout for a proficient Accounts Payable Manager to join our client's team in Stamford, Connecticut. This role involves overseeing financial operations, focusing particularly on accounts payable. Your duties will include managing all aspects of accounts payable to ensure accurate and prompt handling of invoices and disbursements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable operations to ensure seamless and accurate invoice processing and payments.

• Develop and deliver comprehensive training and guidelines for invoice submitters to minimize errors and ensure uniformity across the organization.

• Act as the primary contact for both external auditors and internal departments regarding accounts payable inquiries.

• Supervise the vendor initiation process, including the setup of new vendors in the system, validation of tax details, and adherence to company protocols.

• Oversee the compilation of annual 1099 forms for vendors, complying with IRS mandates.

• Craft, monitor, and scrutinize accounts receivable and accounts payable aging reports to guarantee timely financial transactions.

• Continuously explore avenues to streamline accounts payable procedures, diminish errors, and boost efficiency.

• Automate manual processes and devise optimal practices for invoice processing and payment administration.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services, Concur, and ERP Solutions

• Detailed understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in Check Processing and handling Discrepancy

• Proficiency in Expense Reporting

Requirements

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Concur software

• Capability to handle Data Processing tasks

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to handle Check Processing

• Skills to resolve Discrepancies

• Proficiency in Expense Reporting
