Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in South Gate, California. As an integral part of our financial team, you will manage our credit and billing functions, maintain and analyze accounting records, and ensure efficient, accurate, and timely billing and collection processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily operations of accounts receivable

• Apply accounting software systems, such as IBM AS/400, Great Plains (GPAC), for credit and billing functions

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites to maintain and analyze accounting records

• Apply accounting functions and accounts receivable (AR) skills to manage cash activity and check processing

• Ensure all accounts receivable systems are functioning properly

• Efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and effective manner. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Competence in Microsoft Office Suites

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Billing Functions

• Ability to manage Cash Activity

• Experience in Check Processing

• Familiarity with Accounts receivables systems
