Join us and let's Imagine a better way together. Position Summary: The CDL Class A Driver will ensure accurate and timely delivery and pick up of materials to and from clients and vendors. Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Deliver and pick up materials to and from clients and vendors. Assist in the coordination of timely and accurate shipping documents and functions. Prepares all skids and cartons for scheduled shipment including labeling, skid or carton preparation, shipment record keeping, and transfer to carrier. Keeps the Dispatcher or Shipping Manager informed of status and progress of work and of unusual problems. Checks the accuracy of all shipping documents. Gathers and maintains all data and records relative to local deliveries and pick ups. Helps maintain shipping directories and guides. Ensures shipping counts match packing documents. Ensures proper labels and tickets have been applied before shipping. Assists in resolving any discrepancies. Reports any problems, potential problems, hazardous situations that may exist or any other pertinent information that may help the department improve efficiency and productivity. Maintains good security habits at dock doors. Assists in loading and unloading trucks when necessary. Operates forklift and truck as needed. Makes sure all work areas are kept clean, neat and orderly. Works overtime as needed. Performs other duties as requested. Mandatory Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Must possess a minimum of a class A license. Preferred Qualifications: Good judgment and decision-making ability are necessary. Strong communication skills. Previous knowledge of shipping operations. Ability to communicate/understand written as well as oral instructions. Basic math skills and knowledge of simple computer operations. Demonstrate positive safety attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors. Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping. Manual dexterity for repetitive work. Frequent walking and standing. Chemicals: N/A Travel: Local Transport The national pay range for this role is $25.00 - $32.00/hour. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission, o incentive program.
