Amazon Senior Technical Product Manager, Amazon Games in San Francisco, California

Come play with us! Amazon Games is looking for an experienced technical Product Manager to join our central Product Management team. This role will be dedicated to managing work flows across central Amazon organizations to promote the integration of Amazon systems into games.

In this role, you will draw on your experiences managing complex businesses, solving technical challenges, and influencing key partner teams to drive initiatives to completion. You will be appreciated for your desire to quickly formulate plans supported by data that you can then execute across many work functions simultaneously. You will collaborate with peers who are customer centric, resourceful, and team oriented; if you enjoy an inclusive communication style, are comfortable thinking big about ambiguous problem sets (while paying careful attention to detail), and appreciate a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you are empowered to take ownership and deliver results, this role may be an ideal fit for you.

  • Assist development teams with strategy, design, and execution of technology

  • Gather requirements from a diverse set of customers with distinct needs

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional work experience

  • 5+ years in a technical product management role – evaluating product/feature design & architecture, customer needs, and technical solutions

  • 3+ years of product management experience launching technology products

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for games and gaming technology

  • Clear, concise, accurate communication (both verbal and written) with audiences of varying technical abilities and business contexts

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen

  • Effective negotiator, make smart trade-offs (e.g., time vs. effort vs. features), and drive appropriate schedules

  • Ability to collaborate with and effectively influence remote teams in multiple time zones

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
