Google Product Manager, YouTube Commerce Platform in San Bruno, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.

  • 1 year of experience building and shipping technical products.

  • Experience in an analytical role, working with data to identify trends and make recommendations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with platform product management.

  • Experience with digital commerce product management.

  • Experience with product metrics definition, implementation, and improvement through investments.

  • Experience using analytical tools (e.g., SQL) to identify trends and improve processes.

  • Excellent execution and communication skills for analysis, strategy alignment, product requirements, and performance reporting.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role you will work to optimize the commerce-related features and services. YouTube teams use the Commerce platform for things ranging from inventory creation and management, to purchase flow setup and optimization, post-purchase life-cycle management, incentives, pricing, and more. You will manage metrics for features and services, enabling the use and implementation of those features and services by paid product teams, while advising on and scoping investments to improve performance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Ensure the reliability of the YouTube Commerce platform’s features and services for a diverse set of product teams across YouTube.

  • Streamline and scale features and services to meet growing the demands of YouTube’s paid product teams.

  • Measure the performance of features and services, and report on the impact they have on strategic metrics.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize features and services, while directing and executing on investment.

  • Develop the user and developer experience to onboard and use the platform’s features and services.
