Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mechanical Engineer with Pipe Stress analysis expertise to perform complex design assignments that will apply engineering techniques similar to those found in chemical process or utility plants. The successful candidate will perform stress and support analysis using manual calculations and CADD software (e.g. Cesar II) to develop stress calculations. Also, the individual will review and check work of other engineers related to piping and stress analysis. In addition, the Piping Stress engineer will ensure adequate input and technical guidance to CAD designers and drafters as well as other engineers and vendors working on the same deliverables to promote technical excellence.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Plant Design for utility, process, research facilities.

  • Materials of construction analysis

  • Stress calculations of plant piping and equipment including anchorage.

  • Development of plant models working with CAD Designers.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Strong familiarity with piping and plant codes and standards including: ASME, API, ISO, ANSI

  • At least 8 years experience with stress calculation software packages (Ceasar II, Autopipe, CAEpipe...)

  • Strong background with Plant Design software packages (SmartPlant, Plant 3D, SMAP3D...)

  • Welding standards and specification experience (ASME, AWS, API, ISO, CEN, JIS...)

  • Bachelors' degree in engineering

Salary Range:

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
