Job Summary:

The Sorters will inspect cucumbers on the sorting belts and remove by hand any crooks, nubs, broken, rotten cucumbers, debris and foreign objects.

*Pay -- *$16.00/hr

*Schedule -- *Monday through Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm; There will be a 1st or 2nd shift operation requirement during a 3-week peak harvest that may take place mid-summer. This may include weekend and overtime work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sort items on conveyor belt.
• Remove all foreign material from belts.
• Remove by hand broken, crooks, nubs, diseased, and rotten cucumbers.
• Ability to recognize defects that need removing.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
• Able to lift 50 pounds or more continuously.
• Able to go up and down stairs.
• Able to twist, bend and kneel.
• Able to work at heights.
• Able to push, pull and bend.

• Able to work around moving belts.
