SUMMARY

As a courier, you will be responsible for pick up and deliveries across multiple locations in the Rochester area. You will also be responsible for receiving and storage of all delivered supplies.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Facilities

SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, Days

ATTRIBUTES

• Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible.
• Ability to read and comprehend directions.
• Knowledge of all locals roads and major roads and major landmarks in the surrounding area.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• 2 to 3 years of prior courier/delivery experience strongly preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains work areas in a safe, sanitary and orderly manner, demonstrating proper equipment use and sanitation techniques
• Obeys all applicable laws and regulations dealing with operation of vehicle and DOT regulations.
• Reports all incidents, damage, accidents immediately to manager or supervisor.
• Deliver medications, print shop items, mail, instruments and cargo.
• Ensures US Mail is picked up daily and delivered to the mail room for RRH's departments/affiliates. Facilitates delivery requests in regards to pharmaceutical supplies and or drugs. Handle and delivers medical equipment for clinical technologies to the off sites.
• Manages cash bags and receipts for the Finance departments as well as Off-sites and Living Centers as

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• NYS DL - valid New York State Driver's License - New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV)

PAY RANGE: $17.00 - $18.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
