Fortive Corporation Director, Product Management in Remote, United States

As Director of Product Management at Provation, you will spearhead the product management team, setting the strategic direction for our product development efforts. Your role is pivotal in crafting a user-centric roadmap, fostering a culture of quality and innovation, and leveraging data and user research to drive decision-making. You will lead by example, mentoring your team in best practices while ensuring that the products we deliver are not only market-leading but also directly aligned with our company's strategic goals and the needs of our users. Your mission will be to drive the execution of product initiatives, ensuring timely delivery while upholding the highest standards of quality. Through your leadership, you'll mentor a talented team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Product Roadmap Development: Spearhead the creation of a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing projects and investments to maximize value delivery and meet strategic company goals. Oversee the execution of the product roadmap, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet predefined quality standards. Make tough prioritization and trade-off decisions to balance competing priorities and support your decisions with data insights.

  • Go-To Market – Lead packaging and pricing in collaboration with product marketing, marketing, finance and sales team to maximize monetization and adoption of new capabilities. Provide product expertise to country/region managers and collaborate with them to launch country/region-specific marketing initiatives. Develop market shaping programs to drive software adoption.

  • Data-Driven Culture: Establish a quality-first mindset, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality products. Utilize data to set goals, uncover opportunities, and strengthen investment cases. Enhance your team's data fluency to improve decision-making and communication. Define and monitor key project milestones and critical assumptions through quantifiable and transparent metrics. Own the outcomes of your team's efforts, making proactive adjustments to roadmap or process, and recommend strategies as needed to maximize results.

  • Stakeholder Management: Establish key internal and external customer-focused relationships with relevant stakeholders to incorporate ongoing, dynamic customer insight and continuously challenge key assumptions. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve common goals, working closely with functional leaders to ensure product pipeline and prioritization that alights with identified customer needs and business objectives. Job Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or Health related field

  • 8+ years of software product management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the SaaS or healthcare industry.

  • Experience integrating various process and procedures into an efficient and transparent system

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing product roadmaps, with a keen ability to make strategic trade-offs.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience leveraging data to inform strategic decisions and roadmap direction.

  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of mentoring product managers and fostering a collaborative team environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of user research methodologies and a history of using user insights to drive product decisions.

  • Experience in developing and maintaining strategic partner and customer relationships

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate the “so what” behind team investments to executive-level stakeholders.

  • Experience managing cross-functional relationships and building consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.

National: The salary range for this position is $118,700 - $220,400

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
