Microsoft’s Datacenter Development Land Development Organization supports the development and delivery of our data center portfolio from site identification and selection through to design, construction and operation. The Microsoft Data Center development portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year data center construction and lease projects.

We are looking to hire Portfolio Operations Program Manager in being part of a highly motivated global portfolio team supporting a Data Center Portfolio in one of the world’s largest technology companies in the World. Responsibilities

  • Being a Portfolio Operations Program Manager, you will be responsible for building, operating and enhancing processes that support a best-in-class data center real estate portfolio. Working with a broad set of business partners the role needs facilitation skills to collaborate and deliver process results in an accurate and timely manner. In this role it’s essential to be detail oriented, successfully manage multiple projects in parallel, and deliver clear and effective communication that support Portfolio Operations and key stakeholders making informed decisions.This Program Manager will interface with internal teams and support developing methods to collect and analyze process performance that results in actionable business intelligence.

  • Demonstrates emerging project management capabilities and interpersonal skills that include building trust and partnerships, written and oral communication skills, and participates in change management. Role will also include monitoring and management of data to ensure compliance and regulatory areas that mitigates risk.

  • The candidate should be data driven and embrace a hands-on approach. If you have passion for data analysis, out of box thinking to develop data visualizations that support storytelling in presentations that drive clarity, alignment, and advance outcomes, this could be the role for you.

  • Potential problem-solving skills to engage in dynamics, Microsoft office and other systems / tools balanced with some SQL knowledge are essential to success.

  • Executes portfolio operations processes and maintains actionable insights for the lease real estate portfolio, ensuring accuracy and completeness of operational data.

  • Assess inputs and develop insights and recommendations based on supplier competencies and risk, develop standard protocols as input to risk management strategies.

  • Develop processes and define inputs to technical solutions in partnership with key stakeholders that support lease portfolio based on business requirements, inputs to lease terms, and real estate performance.

  • Risk Management: Assess risks associated with new and existing capacity, such as credit risk, operational maturity, and operational risk. Implement strategies to mitigate risks and safeguard portfolio performance.

  • Conducts periodic meetings with internal and external stakeholders to review satisfaction with current programs and processes

  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, stakeholders, highlighting key supplier insights, portfolio performance, and recommendations to achieve Microsoft’s core priorities.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Strategic Planning, Leasing, Finance, and related data center delivery and operations disciplines, to ensure alignment of objectives and execution of strategic initiatives.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in portfolio management and analysis.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Operations, Project Management, MIS (Management Information system) or related field AND 1+ year(s) relevant experience in program management, real estate finance, or Portfolio Management.

  • OR 2+ years equivalent experience.

  • Experience in data analytics, process engineering and creation of executive quality presentations along with experience in ERP and/or Real Estate databases and reporting.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Operations, MIS, or equivalent experience AND 3+ years work experience in real estate operations management, project management, OR equivalent experience.

  • Analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy along with Experience and competence in presenting data-driven storytelling in PowerPoint and Power BI.

  • Proficiency in partnering with others to develop and design process, managing deliverables across multiple workstreams in a timely and organized manner.

  • Ability and evidence showcasing ability to collaborate cross functionally to drive results. Ability to communicate business requirements and insights effectively to diverse stakeholders.

  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work independently while maintaining all deadlines and critical date obligations.

  • Proficiency to communicate clearly and effectively and build trust with colleagues & Prior experience working with Leasing, Portfolio Management and/or Lease Administration & data center related program management.

  • An ability to drive clarity, alignment and action using Microsoft Office tools like Excel and Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint, proven skills in data and inventory management tools (Microsoft Office tools, Dynamics, experience preferred).

  • Ability to transform obscure considerations to clear and defined inputs for accurate insights and data informed actions.

  • Experience in Share point, Azure DevOps, Visio, Teams, and Power BI.

Real Estate Portfolio Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.
