Work Tasks to be performed

·         Planting, cultivation, harvesting, grading, packaging, and classifying carrots.

·         Workers will assist in loading carrots into transplanters from field transportation. Workers will place seedling carrots into pre-punched holes in the ground while they are riding on the planting equipment.

·         Experience using mechanical transplanter, workers will place carrot seedlings in carousel that drops the individual plants into the hole in the ground.

·         Workers will perform shoveling, hauling, ground preparation, and other manual tasks associated with the production of carrots.

·         Monitor and load materials into package processing equipment.

Job Requirements

·         Worker must possess 6 months of verifiable grading and packing vegetables experience required.

·         Must pass a post-employment, post-incident drug testing, and reasonable suspicion drug testing paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2A.

·         Applicants must complete an employment application.

·         Workers must be constantly alert and adhere to all safety rules as instructed by the supervisor.

·         Must pass pre-employment criminal background check.

·         Must be able to lift 70lbs

·         Temperatures in fields during working

·         hours can range from 10 to over 100 degrees F.

·         Workers must work on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time. Work requires repetitive movements and extensive walking.
