Description:

ABOUT THE ROLE

PURPOSE Perform maintenance, equipment operation, grounds and housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain plant sites, buildings, grounds and equipment managed by regional business entities.

WHAT YOU'll BE DOING

● Ensure housekeeping is maintained and that the equipment is running properly.

● Assist plant manager with all tasks as needed, follow the instructions and perform duties as assigned.

● Maintain cleanliness under conveyors, help Test Concrete at the plant, make concrete blocks.

● Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

● Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

● Ability to follow instructions, maintain good housekeeping around the plant site.

● Ability to work Monday through Friday including Saturdays as the business requires.

● Maintain equipment in proper working order.

● Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors, drivers and crew, peers, operators, and customers serviced.

● Use safe practices in all activities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Education: High School Diploma /GED

• Responsibilies: Prior work experience preferred working in or around heavy equipment, or construction.

• Basic mechanical and construction knowledge and skills

• roven safety record EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled

• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
