How Will You Contribute?

Contribute to Manhattan Beer Distributors successes by ensuring a safe clean working environment for all employees.

Your Main Focus Will Be:

  • Clean building floors and walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming as needed.

  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

  • Gather and empty trash.

  • Performing general custodial and cleaning duties to include cleaning of common areas, maintenance of cleaning equipment.

  • Responsible to maintain appropriate inventory of cleaning supplies.

  • Procure materials from various suppliers.

  • Ensures all equipment and supplies are operational and easily accessible.

  • Report any maintenance concerns for repairs to the Facility Manager.

  • Report and immediately address all unsafe conditions.

  • Assist in the triage and temporary repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems.

    Position Requirements:

  • Forklift experience/certification a plus.

  • Experience with maintenance and custodial work

  • Must possess a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

  • Ability to bend and lift 25 – 50 pounds.

  • Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and cleaning supplies.

  • Working knowledge of power tools and hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical systems and light carpentry a plus.
