Supervisor I, Warehouse SC, 1st Shift

New Bern, NC / Full-time

The Warehouse Supervisor directs the shift operations of the Central Distribution Center. This involves organizing workflow, providing appropriate and adequate instructions on how to carryout assignments, and ensuring results are documented as required for the Central Distribution Center.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate receipt of inbound and the processing of outbound shipments.
• Maximize space utilization.

``` - Accurate and timely shipping/receiving of goods.

``` - Maximize production and efficiency.

``` - Minimal handling and transport damage to finished goods.

```{=html}

``` - Ensure proper location of product within the warehouse in a timely manner.

``` - Picking, prioritize and arrange into truckloads, multi-stop loads, and LTL maximizing service while minimizing costs.

``` - Ensure shipment of stocking orders with finished goods.'

``` - Release orders to the shift team leader, audit accuracy of all transactions to ensure continuous accuracy of on hand inventory.

``` - Maintain files necessary for shipment tracking for the factory warehouse.

``` - Research records to provide answers and solutions for both internal and external request.

``` - Maintain schedule deliveries and interact with the team leaders to insure all production orders are completed in a timely manner.

``` - Provide BSH personnel with the information regarding the status of shipments.

```{=html}

``` - Accumulate data for special reports.

```{=html}

``` - Communicate all pertinent information with the Distribution Center Manager and ensuring proper information is exchanged between shifts.

``` - Propose and/or implement any process improvements

``` - Cross train and develop warehouse personnel in all functions related to material handling

```{=html}

``` - Train and motivate workforce toward continuous improvement.

```{=html}

``` - Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization (5S Compliance) to ensure a safe and orderly work environment.

``` - Ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed

```{=html}

``` - Maintain attendance records for hourly associates.

```{=html}

``` - Perform all other duties as assigned.

Your Profile

Knowledge:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

SAP knowledge a plus

Must have good written and verbal communication skills

Phones, faxes, calculators and copiers

SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook

Education Requirements:

2-Year College degree, general education, preferred

Experience:

5-7 Years Warehouse environment, required

5-7 Years Leadership role, required
