The role of the Category Manager is responsible for Category Management for Plastics and mechanical direct materials, where you will be a key member of the Supply Chain Management team. You will be ensuring that developing, planning and implementing sourcing and procurement strategy focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery and reliability of suppliers and supplied products and services to ensure an exceptional supply base is developed and maintained to ensure material availability and service levels to support local business and customer needs.This is a position with global grade 13Your responsibilities Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) process to implement effective sourcing strategies in line with local and global business and category strategies Ensure suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) savings, payment terms, OTD (On Time Delivery), quality, lead time, budget target settings and follow up for continuous improvement Define and establish local standard agreements with all major suppliers Provide and maintain standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines Design and implement cost out programs and/or processes to reach annual savings and operational cost reduction targetsYour background Bachelor\'s degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience OR Associate degree with minimum 7 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma/GED with minimum 9 years of relevant experience in sourcing/procurement/purchasing Proficiency with software applications such as MS Office (Example; Excel, Word, PowerPoint...
