Fairview Health Services Retail Pharmacist in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Overview

Do you have one to three years of practicing pharmacist experience?

We at MHealth Fairview are looking for you to join our amazing team!

This position will provide clinical care to patients of the pharmacy, assist the pharmacy manager in the operation and management of the pharmacy, provide indirect supervision for support staff and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for preparing and administering appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients. You will achieve this either by executing a physician’s order or by addressing the patient’s problems and needs.

This is a casual position!

Responsibilities Job Description

  • Review and execute physician’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality

  • Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster

  • Maintain full control over delivering, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration

  • Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice

  • Provide assistance other medical services such as injections, blood pressure/ temperature measurements etc.

  • Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient

  • Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding heavy medication

  • Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars and collaborating with other healthcare professionals

  • Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations and procedures

Qualifications

Required Education

  • B.S. Degree or PharmD in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy

License/Certification/Registration

  • Current Minnesota Pharmacy License

Preferred Experience

  • One to three years practicing pharmacist in a community setting

Additional Requirements

  • Working knowledge of third party pay plans, excellent customer service and communication skills, proficient in the English language, ability to manage time and people effectively, good attention to detail, ability to follow policies and procedures.
