The Marketplace business contributes to a significant portion of the total Amazon sales. For our growing Marketplace business we are seeking a dynamic Sr. Product Manager for Selection in Latam marketplaces (Brazil and Mexico).

This role requires a strategic thinker who has exceptional skills, can root-cause tough business problems, and can define innovative ways to use technology to tackle them at scale. As a leader of this role you will have high leadership visibility and will manage multiple stakeholders across the globe. Also, this position will own, develop and deliver on a roadmap to increase our selection by offering the widest selection in LatAm with the best experience to customers. The position will drive Selection for 3P business, while also will work closer to Retail team to set the strategy for Amazon Stores. This is an individual contributor position, and will lead the topic functionally across teams.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Selection strategy and operationalization: Analyzing local and international categories to identify selection gaps and leading selection strategy for 3P and initiatives in collaboration with sales teams for Brazil and Mexico.

  2. Business development: Developing and executing an innovative selection roadmap. Measuring performance and identifying key success drivers; translating business insights into clear requirements.

  3. Functional Leader: Lead the 3P selection, being the functional leader of the topic with the support of two Selection PMs focused on building new solutions.

  4. Analysis, optimization, and improvement: Measuring the impact of actions taken and refining plans to optimize performance.

  5. Managing and influencing multiple international stakeholders, including business, product, marketing, operations, legal, and leadership team. Build long term vision and operational plan for driving selection growth.

You are independent and flexible. You communicate excellently with cross-functional teams and inspire trust when presenting to senior leadership. You’re customer obsessed, and have demonstrated business judgment and an ability to think strategically in a quick-paced, ambiguous setting. You simultaneously dive deep into the tactical details and set a broad strategic vision for execution and scale. You are quality obsessed and at distinguishing signal from noise and you generate insight from a variety of sources.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience owning technology products

  • Experience in using statistical analysis to identify issues or opportunities for improvement

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Experience in areas such as market research, statistics, finance or qualitative/quantitative research

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to balance competing priorities
