Description

We are partnering with a Freight forwarding company who is seeking a Cash Application Specialist. The ideal candidate must be meticulous, have a large attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, and process incoming payments

• Match payments to corresponding invoices

• Verify the accuracy of payment amounts, account information, and invoice details to ensure proper application.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies

• Resolve issues related to payment application, including unapplied or misallocated funds.

• Reconcile cash receipts against bank deposits and financial records.

• Collaborate with other departments such as accounts receivable, billing, and customer service to address inquiries or discrepancies related to payments.

• Prepare and maintain documentation of payment transactions, including deposit slips, cash receipts, and payment reconciliation reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Accounting, Finance or related field

• Strong proficiency in using Excel - pivot tables and vlookups

• Quickbooks or other accounting software
