Job Description

The Opportunity

This role of Product Manager will be handling the end-to-end product development process of Saving Proposition (idea creation, development, implementation, launch and monitoring) by driving strategic product initiatives that balance client and distributor needs while ensuring company margin goals are met. The role is also responsible for ensuring the customer and distributor product experience is strong and favorable and melds with other key priorities of the company (digital, distribution growth, expense efficiency).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design of new product, research on customer insights, assessment of product marketability and competitiveness, system installation, conduct of new product trainings & road shows

  • Manage the end-to-end product development process from product conceptualization to launch, ensuring delivery of all the cross-functional product team members' deliverables

  • Implement a more efficient product-based operations processes to ensure good customer experience and eliminate customer pain points

  • Engage and coordinate with key bank partner personnel in getting buy-in of new products being developed

  • Work with the Savings Head in the creation and implementation of strategic initiatives of the team.

  • Responsible in monitoring the performance of products including creation of programs and strategies that will influence target behavior

  • Monitor product behavior and manage implementations identify of changes / enhancements that will ensure continued financial viability and relevance to the market/s served

  • Create product positioning decks, tools and learning modules focused on needs-based positioning angles to help the distributors gain better appreciation of the technical vs commercial side of the product

  • Handle the development of needs-based sales tools and calculators to support the positioning and launch of new products

  • Oversee the content and execution of product materials through customer-friendly and easy-to-understand language

  • Create competitor comparison materials aimed at highlighting the key selling points and translate them into sales positioning spiels

  • Act as resource speaker for client-facing events and provide assistance during sales calls/presentation for cases with significant business potential

  • Monitor market updates related to new laws and regulations, new competitor product offerings, market trends, and other relevant news that may be translated into position/selling angles that distributors can use as sales pitch

  • Ensure timely resolution of product-related client and distributor concerns

What we are looking for

  • Graduate of a bachelor degree preferably Marketing, Management, Business Administration or other equivalent field

  • Working knowledge of financial services industry/ insurance industry

  • Preferable with deep knowledge understanding of insurance products and services

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time

  • Highly developed analytical, communication & interpersonal skills

  • Ability to interact with and influence people at all levels of the organization

  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with the audience

  • Customer-Centric oriented
