Responsibilities

  • Key charges into hospital billing system, updating insurance info, patient info and creating visits.

  • Run UB reports from clinic billing system, mark what needs keyed, skipped or code modified.

  • Key in late or missing charges over 2 days old.

  • Answer the phones for patient billing questions.

  • Backup mail clerk and scan EOBs.

  • Review previous work for errors, add in updated diagnosis, correct any edit or rejections, and maintain productivity.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Billing Manager.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Experience: 1 year experience performing billing duties at a medical clinic.

Pay Range

$14.08 - $19.36 /hour
