Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Collections Specialist to join our client's team. The Collections Specialist will be responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding debts, negotiating payment plans, and resolving payment discrepancies. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, a strong understanding of collection procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to pursue payment of outstanding debts.

• Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers to resolve delinquent accounts.

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and collection efforts.

• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales and Customer Service, to address customer issues and improve collection processes.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and prioritize collection activities based on account status.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Medicaid or Managed Care (MCO) experience is a must.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in using collection software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
