MD Anderson Cancer Center Program Manager - Institutional Compliance in Houston, Texas

Summary

The primary purpose of the Program Manager position is to support the Associate Vice President & Deputy Chief Compliance Officer in satisfying major MD Anderson Compliance Program components, including supporting education and training; promoting open lines of communication; identifying and responding to detected deficiencies; creating, disseminating, and presenting robust materials to compliance committees; and completing institutional and departmental initiatives with an emphasis on clearly and creatively communicating critical elements of MD Anderson's Institutional Compliance Program.

KEY FUNCTIONS

  1. Education and training: Provides direction and produces materials for specific remedial/corrective education and training, including confidential training for faculty and administrators found materially deficient in one or more key compliance areas.

  2. Institutional Compliance response to detected deficiencies/investigations: Develops presentations and materials for executive leadership, including and especially the Executive Institutional Compliance Committee (EICC), on large and complex investigation status, findings, and recommendations.

  3. Institutional Compliance Departmental and Institutional Initiatives Materials: In collaboration with the Institutional Compliance Programs team, develops presentations and materials related to large and complex institutional and departmental initiatives in which Institutional Compliance is a key contributor/stakeholder.

  4. Project coordination and organization: Coordinates and organizes cross-departmental projects for the Associate Vice President & Deputy Chief Compliance Officer. Provides oversight and guidance for projects from planning and development through execution, deployment, and after-action assessment. Serves as a central point of contact in facilitating completion of cross-departmental projects led by the Associate Vice President & Deputy Chief Compliance Officer.

  5. Performs Special Projects and/or Other Duties as Assigned by the Associate Vice President & Deputy Chief Compliance Officer.

Required education: Bachelor's degree.

Preferred education: Bachelor's or Master's in Design, Graphic Design, Publishing, Communications, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

Required experience: Five years related experience to include three years program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, three years of required experience.

Preferred experience: Six years experience in graphics production (medical graphics, litigation graphics, illustration, technical illustration, and/or animation), writing, and editing to include proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and related graphics/illustration applications. Three years of experience with project management (planning, development, execution, deployment, after-action assessment), and working knowledge of/experience with data visalization and analytics reporting (Tableau, Power BI), six years of experience with project management (planning, development, execution, deployment, after-action assessment).

Preferred certifications: Adobe Certified Professional in Print & Digital Media Publication; IWA Master Certified Web Professional - Designer (CWP); Microsoft Office Specialist Master Certification (MOS); American Design Drafting Association Certified Digital Designer (CDD); IPMA Certified Graphics Communications Manager (CGCM); Board-certified Editor in the Life Sciences (ELS); American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) certification; Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP).
