Amazon Store Coordinator in Gernsheim, Germany

Description

As a Procurement Coordinator, you will act as the first point of contact for site employees and the leadership team regarding all procurement and IT matters. You are responsible for the daily handling of all procurement activities as well as the implementation of continuous improvement around the site. This will provide vital support to site leadership and support teams in implementing operational improvement projects. In addition, you will take the lead for sustainability topics on site.

Key job responsibilities

• Warehouse Management of all non-inventory and IT equipment. Count inventory, IT equipment, stock in procurement and update internal files accordingly with withdrawals. Definition of min and max stock for non-inventory under consideration of lead-time and order in case of need. Manage the order process for all non-inventory, procurement and IT equipment.

• Event inventory and IT equipment management. Awareness of increase in requirements and preparation due to events (Peak, Prime, etc.)

• Order management via coupa and P-Card. Central POC for Ops in regards to all on-inventory goods (excl. RME and Engagement). Provision of delivered goods for requestor and provide interface function to all customers.

• Receiving and booking of non-inventory and IT equipment both physically and digitally.

• Coordinate and lead the handout process for non-inventory and Ops IT.

• Person in charge for 5S standards of non-inventory & IT storage areas, and all inventory equipment incl. maintenance of checklists and audit tracking and processing.

• Supervising and coordinating as well as backfilling the Inventory and IT team on site (1-6 Associates supporting with inventory and IT tasks) in alignment with Operations.

• Repairing and updating IT equipment and ensuring that IT backup equipment is operational.

• Managing invoice on hold (IOH) issues, resolving them together with suppliers / internal stakeholders / payee central team.

• Vendor and continuous service providers (CSP) management (e.g. Fastenal, Selecta, M2K, Tenhaef, Hydro-Moor, Bee-rent etc.) Act as main point of contact for requests, troubleshooting and updates regarding vendors through regular touchpoints. Auditing Service quality and escalating issues upon need.

• Analyzing, deep diving & reviewing site expenses, supply costs, procurement sustainability and IT costs with internal stakeholders. Setting action to allocate and/or reduce expenses. Supporting change manager in projects of various scopes. Work closely with site leadership and the regional sustainability team to develop sustainability retrofits, initiatives and expansions.

• Proactively looking for, identifying, communicating, aligning, implementing and reviewing saving opportunities and process improvements. Sharing best practices with other procurement coordinators from the European operations network.

• Providing trainings to on-site teams as well as supporting the onboarding of new procurement coordinators & IT superusers.

• Act as proxy for waste coordinator.

• Sustainability point of contact. Drive sustainability understanding and engagement on site.

• Work with the regional sustainability team. Organize, support and coordinate sustainability projects, initiatives, events and trainings on site.

A day in the life

You will cooperate internally with Safety, IT, Operations, PxT, Sustainability, Learning and Development departments and externally with vendors and service providers to guarantee and improve the procurement process on site. You will be responsible to manage the order process for all non-inventory, procurement and IT equipment in the inventory management system.

Basic Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in German in both written and verbal communication

• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English

• Relevant work experience in problem solving and in identifying problems using metrics and data

• Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment

• Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in logistics/operations/warehouse/customer-oriented environment

• Business education or comparable experience

• Attention to detail

• Ability to work independently

• Willingness to change, adapt and innovate within the business

• Ability to communicate at all levels, coaching and mentoring others to work safely
