What will you do?

Main Objective

Implement & maintain programs related to sanitation, pest control and production.

Main Activities

  • Ensure the facility is compliant with customer and governmental requirements for cleanliness while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

  • Manage relationships with vendors including chemical suppliers, pest control companies, and others as needed.

  • Lead sanitation employees to clean facility using approved chemical solutions and follow up on any Corrective Actions.

  • Ensure all employees are following safety procedures including PPE.

  • Develop, maintain, and implement SSOPs, using both wet cleaning and dry-cleaning methods and tools.

  • Maintain chemical inventory.

  • Manage pest control program.

  • Conduct internal audits as necessary and participate in Customer Audits.

  • Participate and lead cross-functional teams with production & quality.

  • Manage and adhere to sanitation budget.

  • Responsible to maintaining proper documentation that meets all governmental and customer requirements.

  • Recommend, develop, and implement new or improved sanitation programs or tools to meet plant and company goals for safety, sustainability, and sanitation excellence.

  • Inspect plants, warehouses and plant ground to ensure compliance with internal sanitation and safety programs to comply with state and federal laws.

  • Maintain master cleaning schedule for plant meeting GMP and Kerry guidelines.

  • All other duties as assigned.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, biology, chemistry or related.

  • Minimum 5 years experience at a manager level leading sanitation teams in a manufacturing setting (food production and pharmaceutical preferred).

  • Dry cleaning experience preferred, but open to wet cleaning as well.

  • Availability to work during the weekend (with alternate days off during the week).

  • Knowledge of HACCP and GFSI standards are a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and using ERP's (SAP is a nice to have).

Compensation Data

The typical hiring range for this role is $89,175 to $134,984 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
