All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform the work described in this job description and must be available for the entire period of employment specified in box 3 and 4, page 1. Workers are needed to plant, maintain and harvest various culinary and medicinal herbs. Workers will perform field work and greenhouse work including planting, transplanting, weeding, thinning, hoeing and other tasks required in the planting, maintaining, and harvesting of various herb crops. Workers will sort, wash, pack and otherwise prepare various crops for storage and shipping. Workers will perform other farm-related duties including the following: load and unload trucks and other farm vehicles, setup and operate irrigation equipment and cut brush and other vegetation in and around fields, buildings and equipment. Workers must be able to work in various extreme weather conditions from damp and cold spring and fall days to hot and humid summer days.
