General Description:

Leads the mechanical engineering team in the design, implementation, maintenance, optimization, and improvement of production processes and equipment in accordance with Industry Standards and Practices.

• Be accountable for the supervision, communication of key business performance and management information, performance management, recruiting and development for the assigned engineering team
• Lead the assigned engineering team to identify asset reliability, operability, and HSSE risks and implement measures to reduce or eliminate them
• Lead the development and implementation of reliability improvement ideas, projects, and plans, within the site
• Serve as sponsor for capital and expense projects and provide necessary resources in order to support delivery of the site business strategies
• Assure assigned engineering team work complies with site and industry standards.
• Seek out technologies with promise to provide process simplifications to reduce frequency and impact of human errors or equipment failures
• Serve as site technical resource for mechanical issues
