West Virginia Employer Brush Clearer for Utility Right of Way in Core, West Virginia

Looking to fill 30 Brush Clearer positions. This is a temporary, full-time seasonal position from 04/1/2024-10/15/2024. Begin/report to work: Maidsville, Monongalia County, WV 26541 @ 12.39 /hr. Daily transportation provided between report to work address and additional worksites. Worksites: States of KY, NJ, OH, PA, WV.MA,MD Duties: Vegetation management around utility infrastructures, conservation easements, parks, state/private lands or coal mine property using brush trimmers/saws, hand trimmers and riding power mowers. Spray or spread herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or tress, using hand or automatic sprayers. Requirements: Must be 18 due to travel. Must show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone. Must walk substantially (up to 15 miles/day), also stoop, bend while carrying a pack (up to 50lbs) through terrain (non-trail). All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Based on Employers discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Possible background check post hire at employers expense. Terms & Conditions of Employment: $12.39/hr. up to possible $80.00/hr. OT $18.59/hr. up to possible $120.00/hr. Wage may vary. Based on Experience and/or location. Must have 3 months of work experience. The wage(s) or exceed(s) the highest of the prevailing wage or the Federal, State, or local minimum wage. At Employers sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed); possible cash advances (if applicable/requested by worker, potential deduction from workers paycheck). Possible daily/weekly hours: 8:00AM-4:30PM. 40+ (plus) to include lunch break, M-F. Possible weekend/holiday work. (Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. If overtime is worked, wage is paid at a rate of time and a half per hour worked beyond 40 hours each week.) Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and or OT. Overtime not required. This employer will also comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws pertaining to overtime hours.
