Huntington National Bank Credit Services Operations Section Manager 1 - Hybrid Role in Columbus, Ohio

Description

Summary:The Section Manager 1/Credit manages through team leaders and/or section supervisors the daily activities for a functional area typically comprised of exempt and non-exempt employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the area is adequately staffed and that all personnel are trained.

  • Reviews and recommends new methods and procedures to make the area more efficient.

  • Plans and schedules the activities within the area of responsibility and coordinates activities with other areas as required.

  • Resolves the more complex working problems.

  • Prepares, maintains and/or monitors reports in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensures quality of service level is maintained.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent management experience to include coaching, developing and leading others

  • Well versed in regulatory requirements

  • Able to accurately interpret and apply policy and procedures and be able to proficiently explain to both internal and external customers

  • Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Excellent service skills and ability to partner with regional teams and external partners

  • Proven analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Experience with risk accountability, law and regulation compliance and audit/regulatory examination response

  • Ability to work in a high volume environment with minimal supervision, while maintaining production service levels

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

  • Customer service oriented
