Keurig Dr Pepper Principal Performance Engineer in Chicago, Illinois

Job Overview

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Principal Performance Engineer position to join our Hot Beverage Appliance team at Chicago Office. Reporting to the Subsystems director, the lead engineer will be responsible for performance attribute delivery for coffee brewing, designing cycles and hydraulic systems including pumps, valves and hoses for brewers. They will work closely with consumer scientists, controls engineers, and hydraulics engineers to deliver performance requirements. The successful candidate will be joining a talented team of individuals developing Keurig next generation platforms.

What you will do:

  • Research, design and development of brewing technologies that create a compelling value proposition for our customers and our business.

  • Setup and conduct data acquisition, analysis, and evaluation.

  • Actively participate in technical project reviews

  • Develop learning plans and communicate results to leadership

  • Request and coordinate lab and model shop requests

  • Conduct detailed design reviews of your designs

  • Leverage a broad technical expertise across electrical, mechanical, software, and connected systems.

  • Identify knowledge gaps and develop learning plans to address them.

  • Conduct design of experiments and apply statistics to assess system robustness.

  • Create sub-system and component FMEAs, create and analyze fault-trees and work on plans to mitigate technical risks.

  • Follow all Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science , Microbiology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

  • Minimum of 1 0 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or related roles.

  • A deep understanding of World Class Quality organizations and standards.

  • Strong working knowledge of FDA, USDA, Codex, WHO, EFSA, Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and other relevant regulations.

  • Experience in managing food safety programs across multiple sites.

  • Exc ellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven track record of exceptional results in team development and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to regularly travel for business; work a flexible schedule as needed; and travel for other business needs.
