Aerotek Equipment Technician in Chaska, Minnesota

Description:

The Equipment Technician sets up the machine and ensures machines are running at peak efficiency through proper set-up, adjustment, preventative maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs. Candidates with a mechanical background will be considered (individuals who worked on a farm or as a mechanic, for example)

Responsibilities also include:

Mechanical and Electrical repairs and maintenance on a variety of machines, including:

CMC Inserter Machines

Pinnacle Inserter Machines

Rotary Cutters

Folder Machines

Palamides Bander machine

Affixer Machines

Bindery Machines

Recommending and maintaining tools, parts, and supplies.

All the work is off testing schedules, samples and instructions

Coordinate with Inventory Control

Maintain production log, running time, down time, quantity produced and reading on a postage meter.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must haves:

-6+ months mechanic OR maintenance experience from any industry that troubleshoots and repairs equipment or machines.

-6+ months of computer skills: Ability to navigate the internet, Microsoft Office - they will be working on a Windows 7 platform

-6+ months electrical or mechanical troubleshooting in an automated manufacturing environment.

-Must understand Lock Out, Tag Out processes

Preferred but not required experience:

-Preferred experience is from a printing company and doing the following: setting up and operating any of the following: folder machines, stitchers, bindery, digital presses, web presses, cutting sheets.

-Lean manufacturing and/or quality control training preferred

-Strong mechanical aptitude preferred
