We are looking for an EMEA Payment Operations Lead _Bi-lingual contractor proficient in English and any major language.

Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with a knack for handling complex payment situations? We're seeking a dedicated Payment Operations Lead to ensure the seamless application of customer payments for our assigned country and portfolio. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate and timely financial transactions, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and providing exceptional solutions to customer challenges.

What you will do

  • You'll engage with internal and external customers via phone or email, ensuring the swift and accurate application of cash within established timelines. Your excellent communication skills and knowledge of unapplied cash procedures will be critical in meeting department and individual targets.

  • Analyzing, investigating and reconciling transactions on customer accounts will be your forte. Your attention to detail will help maintain the accuracy and completeness of account information.

  • Serving as the primary contact for internal and external customers, you'll excel at resolving unallocated payment situations. Your resourcefulness and dedication will ensure customer problems are addressed effectively and promptly.

  • You'll collaborate seamlessly with other departments, aiming to achieve unapplied cash objectives and resolve customer issues. Your proactive follow-ups will guarantee timely and accurate solutions to customer problems.

  • Take ownership of decisions regarding customer accounts, applying payments and nurturing positive business relationships with customers.

  • Identify critical issues on customer accounts and escalate them in a timely manner after thorough investigation efforts.

  • Uphold adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley and other guidelines, supporting both internal and external audits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in payment operations, demonstrating a strong understanding of cash application and reconciliation processes.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English + fluency in another European language.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools and applications.

  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to assess risks and evaluate alternatives.

  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and audit support.
