Wage

$16 / hour

The Packer role is responsible for removing the product from the filler line in a fast paced moving environment at the Lactalis US Yogurt Brattleboro, VT facility!

This position is part of a cohesive team, needs someone who can multi-task and is motivated!

  • Work on assigned line to assist with the packaging of yogurt containers by way of machine and/or hand packing.

  • Uphold quality, safety, and cleanliness standards within designated areas.

  • Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient plant operations.

  • Set-up oncoming shift for successful run.

  • Perform any duties necessary to support the team.

  • Obtain information necessary to perform duties at pre-shift tailgate meetings and by meeting with off-going employees.

  • Monitor equipment operation for indications of impending problems and possible operational improvements.

  • Trained to operate pallet jack.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • The candidate must pass a company background check and drug screen prior to commencing work.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and stretch and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
