Position Specific Description

This candidate will be primarily responsible for ensuring environmental reporting compliance at both Wyman Station in Yarmouth, ME and the Bellingham, MA cogeneration facility. In addition, the candidate will also ensure several key safety requirements are completed as required. This includes but is not limited to; the management of the company hearing program, industrial hygiene program and the Bellingham OSHA VPP program. Work location (Maine or Massachusetts) contingent upon the applicant’s residence with some travel to the other facility required-typically 1-2 days per month .

Additional Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and oversees 3rd party sampling activities as required by site environmental permitting-i.e. stack testing, fuel oil sampling, outfall etc

  • Understand and report out on pending environmental regulatory changes

  • Completes required reporting to federal, state and local agencies accurately and on time

  • Primary environmental point of contact for all environmental agencies

Job Overview

Employees in this role lead a team responsible for successfully executing the Power Generation Division (PGD) Environmental Management System and ensuring plant water chemistry parameters are maintained in accordance with fleet recommendations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintains water chemistry Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) program and communicates corrective measures to the site/plant

  • Conducts sampling activities as needed by site environmental permitting

  • Completes required reporting to local/state/federal agencies

  • Conducts routine self-inspections

  • Oversees the plant or site safety program as required

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

  • Experience: 7+ years

  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
