ManpowerGroup IT Technician Level 2 in Austin, Texas

Our client from engineering Industry is seeking IT Technician Level 2 to join their team. As an IT Technician you will have experience in Azure AD (Entra ID) as well as on-prem Active Directory, High level knowledge of computer hardware, including Dell laptops and Desktops, High level knowledge of Windows 1011, etc.

Job Title: IT Technician Level 2

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Range: $60-$70K

Job Requirement:

  • High level knowledge of computer hardware, including Dell laptops and Desktops.

  • High level knowledge of Windows 1011.

  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server

  • Basic knowledge of Imaging Tools such as InTuneAutopilot

  • High level knowledge of Microsoft 365 Apps, including Teams

  • An understanding of networking concepts, including subnetting and gateway functionality over the Ethernet standard.

  • Experience with Azure AD (Entra ID) as well as on-prem Active Directory

  • Knowledge of AutoDesk and Bentley products a plus

  • Knowledge of FreshService ticketing system a plus

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.

  • Strong documentation skills.

  • Attention to detail

  • Basic knowledge and use of hand tools

Essential Functions

  • Provide documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.

  • Field incoming help requests from end users via telephone, Ticketing system, Teams, and e-mail in a courteous manner.

  • Build rapport and elicit problem details from users.

  • Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician.

  • Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.

  • Work to obtain a first-contact resolution.

  • Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.

  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources from various sources to aid in problem resolution.

  • Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.

  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications.

  • Performing preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.

  • Perform post-resolution follow-ups to service requests.

  • Develop knowledge base articles and frequently asked questions lists for end users.

  • Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work product that is error free.

  • Adhere to client’s safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment.

  • Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.

  • Mobility within the office including movement between floors and workstations.

  • Repeated motions (e.g., typing, reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying).

  • Communication with other employees and clients.
