Momar Material Handler in Atlanta, Georgia

Momar is looking for a Material Handler!

Reporting to the Inventory Control Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for coordinating the storage and movement of inventory, while abiding by all safety and environmental procedures and protocols established by Momar.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect assigned forklift and other equipment for safety at beginning of the shift. Complete inspection paperwork.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for pulling and returning inventory for batching/packaging/shipping. Communicate with the requesting personnel on the pick sheet/batching sheet/inventory request form while picking inventory through this process.
  • Utilize NAV and Bin Move to maintain bin location accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the Receiving Clerk when materials need to be stored in the warehouse or outside after receiving.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Inventory Clerk while pulling inventory from the racks to get an accurate count.
  • If certified to use the Momar truck, maintain paperwork associated with use of the Momar Truck. Report issues to the Supervisor of Inventory Control, Supervisor of Maintenance and Environmental Health and Safety Director.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by picking up pallet debris, broken pallet bands and other trash in Inventory Control areas.Take action on damaged pallets/totes, un-banded pallets, unbalanced pallet loads, materials stored in wrong places.
  • Support all safety, cleanliness, and quality initiatives.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to read and understand written and oral instructions and training materials.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and make decisions without supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year of relevant experience is highly preferred.
  • Operation of a forklift and/or heavy machinery is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to routinely lift up and/or move 50 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear.
  • Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions.

Shift hours are from 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday
