Amazon Sr Product Manager, Ops Integration in Arlington, Virginia

The Team: Innovation is part of our DNA! The Amazon Fresh Core Processes team is looking for a Sr. Product Manager that wants to join an ambitious and driven team that is changing the landscape of retail.

This role includes 25% travel to Amazon Fresh Stores nationwide.

The Role: As Sr. Product Manager on the Core Process team, you are the glue bringing together cross-functional teams to deliver availability for our customer, marrying store operations with upstream instock initiatives. Our ideal candidate will work back from core customer needs to develop operating strategies and processes that deliver a visually full instock experience for customers, while protecting shrink. You will work consistently with stakeholder teams including in-stock, buying product tech, supply chain, BI, and category while representing the store teams that you serve. You will use data to track the effectiveness of your programs as well as areas of opportunity for further strategy iteration.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive the expansion, improvement, and simplification of in-stock programs within Amazon Fresh Stores

• Consult with Buying Product Tech and In-stocks initiatives by marrying store processes with upstream strategy

• Collect data to inform on operational strategy for the balance of remaining in-stock for our customer and efficient for our store teams

• Create and monitor metrics to demonstrate progress towards goals, provide new insights, develop business cases, and allow for regular updates to senior leadership

• Oversee the development of operations focused BI work across several partner teams

• Manage cross-functional project teams while collaborating with key stakeholders to improve processes and communication mechanisms

• Build respect and credibility with individual contributors, stakeholders, management peers, and executives

• Spend 25% of your time in the field launching, supervising, and iterating on new/improved processes

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

  • Operations leadership experience (ideally in Retail stores)

  • Instock and/or Supply Chain experience

  • Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization

  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Willingness to work 15-25% of your time in stores, this may include travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, , organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Experience in Ops Shrink prevention strategies and action planning

  • Familiarity with business process improvement documentation and demonstrated experience engaging and influencing key stakeholders including retail field leadership

  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome obstacles and deliver results

  • Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile, or other Process Improvement methodologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
