Accounts Payable Manager

Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

The objective of the Accounts Payable Manager is to honor request for vendor and payroll disbursements for Virginia Hospital Center in a timely manner, to maintain supporting documentation in an orderly fashion and to ensure that proper internal controls are in place so that all disbursements are appropriate and according to policy. Accounts Payable Manager will monitor and control subordinate work flow, striving to increase productivity without reducing the quality of service.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or in a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Five years of experience in accounts payable in a computerized environment or experience using materials management software applications is preferred.

Demonstrated leadership ability is required.

Certification/Licensure:

None.

Combination of experience and education may be considered.
