If so, this opportunity may be the perfect fit for you!   DESCRIPTION OF WORK At the Keystone State Challenge Academy, Team Leaders (TLs) play a crucial role in engaging with the Cadets who reside there. TLs utilize military principles and practices to guide and train the cadets within a quasi-military setting. Their primary objective is to create a safe, secure, and structured environment that fosters growth and development for the cadets. As the newest addition to the National Guard Bureau Youth Challenge academies, the KSCA offers Pennsylvania's youth aged 16-18 an alternative education option, providing them with the opportunity to earn a high school diploma or equivalency in a residential, military-like setting.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Various Shifts 24/7 coverage flexibility needed, alternating hours including occasional weekends. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of experience in working with school age children (aged 6-21) or adults in an organized physical, recreational, educational, or related program; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirement: You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license. All must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.

You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Preferred experience includes a working knowledge of military customs and courtesies and drill and ceremony. Ability to conduct physical training with Cadets. All employees of the KSCA will be required to have background checks equivalent to anyone working in a school that may have direct contact with students. Pennsylvania School Law requires that all applicants for employment in public and private schools, employees of independent contractors seeking business with public and private schools, and student teacher candidates undergo background checks if they will have direct contact with students. In addition, employment history reviews must be completed for all applicants seeking employment.
