Acts as the coordinator of the related materials, parts, supplies and equipment inventory. Positions in the Gas Department are subject to 24-hour call. • High school diploma or GED; supplemented by two (2) years of experience in basic mechanical maintenance and repair of meters and related equipment with some experience in purchasing and inventory management; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Will be required to obtain a valid State of Louisiana driver's license at time of appointment and maintain throughout employment for this classification.
• Must possess and maintain any state or federal certifications required in the field of assignment.

[[NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: [[ Water Department prefers a valid Water Distribution Class II Certification.

[[Work Schedule: [[M-F, 7 AM - 3:30 PM; May be required to work weekends and holidays.
