We are seeking an EEG Technologist for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications

• Performs routine, sleep and portable EEG studies as well as cerebral death studies on adult, neonatal and pediatric patients according to the policies and procedures of the EEG lab.

• Ensures quality patient care is provided within the defined area of accountability of doing EEG procedures.

• Distributes EEG reports to inpatients’ charts, faxes outpatient reports to the ordering physician; maintains copy of all reports in files and on computer networks and hard drives.

• Communicates with responsible neurologist regarding all ordered and requested EEGs. Informs Neurologist when testing is completed. Assists neurologist with interpretation related duties.

• Serves as a liaison for Cardiopulmonary Dept. to promote physician, interdepartmental and intra departmental relationships.

• Assures all EEG reports are available for the physician to read on a daily basis.

• Assures customer services to include; respect, courtesy, compassion and confidentiality

• Initiates and documents patient teaching including family and/or significant others. Uses appropriate patient education documentation modality.

• Actively participates in continuing education within the field of Neurology/EEG.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
