We are inviting applications for the role of Accounting Associate based in Albany, NY. The successful candidate will be a part of our team, focusing on managing accounts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be engaged in a diverse range of accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze monthly budgets for various properties

• Collaborate with the general bookkeeper for account verification and General Ledger maintenance

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and present them to the management

• Review and manage tenant lease data to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Prepare and send out tenant billings on time

• Ensure collections are up to date and initiate actions for overdue payments

• Assist in maintaining an organized accounting schedule to ensure budgets are consistently met

• Utilize various accounting software such as Peachtree or efficient data management

• Perform account reconciliation and invoice processing tasks as required

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and management of financial records.

Requirements

• Proficiency in account reconciliation procedures

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with billing processes

• Data entry skills with an attention to detail

• Experience in invoice processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with accounting software

• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Associate's degree in accounting, Finance or related field preferred
