Clean and sanitize the plant to meet quality and bacterial standards imposed by plant standards. Completely sanitize the plant effectively and efficiently. Assisting with Maintenance of the workplace / i.e. painting, mudding, sanding, fixing, etc.... Vacuuming, sweeping, moping, dusting (wiping down) machinery and equipment. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following company standards, policies, procedures, and complying with legal regulations. Ability to use Floor scrubber. Climbing up and down ladders not afraid of heights. Agility and Good Balance needed. Scissors lift (Must complete Certification for Scissors lift) Working at different elevations around certain elevated machinery and equipment. Deep Cleaning areas that require Sanitation. Assist in cleaning all areas of the facility as directed/ i.e. washing floors, walls, utensils, equipment, machinery etc.... Work around large processing equipment where chemicals are used to complete the sanitation process. Lift/ move hoses, equipment, and chemical containers weighing 20-100 lbs. throughout every work shift. Wear employer-specified protective gear. Exposure to chemical cleaning solutions (with protective gear). Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc. during extended periods of time. Will Require the use of Safety Harnesses (and/or) other Safety Equipment when required. Perform all tasks safely and in a manner that will not create or pose any danger to self or others. Working Schedule and Required Flexibility. Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager. WORKING ENVIRONMENT The employee is regularly exposed to dust and other air particulate as a result of rice production. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is regularly exposed to the risks presented by working machinery. Dangling jewelry, loose clothing and unrestrained head and facial hair are not compatible with this position. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Full-time 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required.
