The Cary Company Account Manager II in Addison, Illinois

The Cary Company, a leading provider of packaging and industrial supplies, is seeking highly experienced and motivated individuals to join our Inside Sales Team as Account Manager II. This role is designed for seasoned professionals who are passionate about driving business growth through exceptional account management and innovative sales strategies.

Position Overview:

As an Account Manager II, you will play a pivotal role in fostering long-term relationships with our key accounts, identifying strategic sales opportunities, and contributing to the overall success of our sales efforts. This position is perfect for individuals who have a proven track record in sales and are looking to advance their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

This is an on-site role reporting to our Addison, IL facility.

Compensation Range: $55,000-$70,000 Annually + Incentives & Benefits

(Compensation varies based on experience and education)

Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Customer Engagement: Handle complex customer inquiries, provide in-depth product and pricing information, and resolve issues to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Enhanced Sales Growth: Utilize expertise to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, driving significant growth in your book of business.

  • Strategic Account Management: Manage and grow key accounts, overseeing larger quotes and complex negotiations to exceed customer expectations.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the company, including customer service, logistics, accounting, marketing, and warehousing, to ensure a cohesive customer experience.

  • CRM and Data Management: Maintain meticulous records of customer interactions and transactions, using CRM data to strategize and meet sales targets.

  • Leadership and Mentoring: Mentor junior account managers and contribute to team training and development initiatives.

    Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.

  • Experience: At least 5 years of sales experience, with a strong background in account management.

  • Skills: Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, robust negotiation and problem-solving abilities, and high proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of packaging materials and industry-specific products strongly preferred.
